EXHIBITION DESIGNAt its core, Roots was an exercise in translation: turning the technical into art and poetry.
Designed as a behind-the-scenes journey, the experience unpacks the systems, materials, and engineering that quietly shape everyday living. Complex scientific and technical narratives were distilled into a spatial experience, where information unfolded through art, sculpture, and material.
Created in collaboration with Blackbrick, the space endeavours to invite visitors to engage, explore, and feel. The hope was that here, the nexus that goes into building a quality home is made visible, accessible, and most importantly, magical.

The brief
Design an upscale experience for a real estate sales gallery that brings alive the technical expertise and attention to detail the builder uses to create quality homes.

The core value of the product lies in systems and processes that are largely invisible and highly technical. The data was difficult to communicate, engage with, or emotionally connect with in a traditional exhibition format.

While homebuyers may not seek technical depth, they deeply value the outcomes it enables: comfort, ease, safety, and peace of mind. For a luxury audience, these qualities must be felt as much as understood, expressed through refinement, subtlety, and experience.

To transform complex concepts into intuitive, sensory narratives using space, art, and sculpture. The exhibition was envisioned as a larger than life journey that travels from the outside to within- making the invisible visible, tangible and coveted.

The space elevates information into experience, allowing visitors to engage with the intelligence behind the home in a way that feels intuitive, refined, and distinctly luxurious.
The consequence? The visitor discovers the value in the offering thereby affecting conversion. (And, hopefully goes home awed with a magical story to tell.)
